Answers:
We need to know the difference between two types of word groups: phrases and clauses. A phrase is a group of words that is part of, rather than the whole of, a sentence (Cambridge Dictionary, 2022). In common use means a group of two or more words, in grammar analysis a phrase may be a single word (Praba et al, 2017). The types of phrases are Noun phrases, Verb phrases, Adjective Phrases, Prepositional Phrases, and Adverbial Phrases. A clause is a group of words with a subject and verb unit. The smallest unit of a sentence consists of at least a subject and a verb (Praba et al, 2017).
