Here are some of the most famous places in the world, along with their location continent and country:

1. The Colosseum is a large, ancient amphitheater in the center of Rome, Italy. This amphitheater was used for various events such as gladiatorial contests, dramas, and even executions.

3. Mecca, the birthplace of the prophet Muhammed, is a city in Saudi Arabia. Muslims from all over the world visit the city each year as making this pilgrimage is an obligation for all Muslims.

4. Devil's Tower, a mountain in Wyoming, USA. Formed of igneous rock it is thought that Wyoming's Devil's Tower was made from columns of lava that rose to the surface and then cooled. Rather than exploding like a volcano, it is thought that the surrounding prairie eroded away over millions of years. The site has long been important to Native Americans who consider it a sacred site and called it Bear’s Lodge or Bear’s Tipi. European settlers renamed the feature Devil’s Tower in the 19th century.

5. St. Basil's Cathedral is a cathedral in Red Square in Moscow, Russia. The cathedral was built in 1555 and has 10 domes arranged like a fire rising into the sky. The vibrant colors that we see today were added between the 1680s and 1848.
